Αυτή η εβδομάδα στο GaLeMo/ This week at GaLeMo/ Diese Woche in der GaLeMo Schule

This week had been a full one at GaLeMo. We celebrated Autumn and Elisa's birthday. We learned how to make patterns when knitting and how to knit with five needles. And we got started with the 2nd issue of 'Comic Parade' our 100% handmade student newspaper in English. On the last picture you see the editors' team in action: Knitting...ideas! Αυτή η εβδομάδα στο GaLeMo, αν και δεν έχει τελειώσει, ήταν μια γεμάτη μπορώ να πω. Γιορτάσαμε το φθινόπωρο και τα γεννέθλια της Ελίζας. Μάθαμε να πλέκουμε με 5 βελόνες και να κάνουμε σχέδια πάνω στο πλεκτό μας και η νέα συντακτική ομάδα έβαλε μπροστά το δεύτερο τεύχος της εφημερίδας μας, Comic Parade. Στην τελευταία φωτογρφία τις βλέπετε εν ώρα δράσης: Πλέκοντας ιδέες!

Εδώ οι φωτογραφίες δε μιλούν από μόνες τους. Τις τράβηξα εν αγνοία των παρευρισκομένων. Η Eva Sainz αεικίνητη κάτι γράφει στον πίνακα. Από τις καλύτερες δασκάλες που είχα ποτέ. Όλα ομορφαίνουν με μια καλή δοση χιούμορ και αυτή η κυρία το κατέχει το άθλημα της διδασκαλίας. Λίγη θεωρία, πολύ πρακτική, ενδιφέρουσες ιστορίες, φράσεις παρμένες από την παγκόσμια λογοτεχνία και πλούσιο εξωσχολικό υλικό προς εξερεύνηση.Κάπως έτσι κάθε Δευτέρα και Τετάρτη απόγευμα στο Πανεπιστήμειο της Βιέννης. In this case the pictures don't really speak for themselves. I took them while in class without anyone noticing. Eva Sainz, vibrant and lovely is writing an other difficult phrase on board. She is by far one of the best teachers I've ever had. Even German gets easier with a good sense of humor and this lady knows her job really well. Even if not a good one, I feel so happy to be one again: student. Mondays and Wednesdays at University of Vien

Στο σχοινί/ On the rope/ Auf dem Seil

Στο πάρκο του Πανεπιστημίου λίγο πριν το μάθημα Γερμανικών. Άλλοι με τα σκέτιμπορντ, άλλοι με μια μπάλα και ένας μαθητευόμενος ακροβάτης με το σχοινί του. At the university campus a few minutes before german lesson begins. Some with their skateboards, others with a ball and a potential acrobat together with his rope.

Στο αστεροσκοπείο και στην κούνια/ At the observatory and on the swing/ In der Sternwarte und auf der Schaukel

    Σήμερα στο αστεροσκοπείο. Αν κοιτάξεις την Ανδρομέδα με προσοχή θα δεις έναν άλλο γαλαξία κάμποσα εκατομμύρια έτη φωτός μακρυά. Η Αφροδίτη, λάμπει πιο πολύ νωρίς το πρωί και αργά το απόγευμα. Το σημείο που βρίσκεται η γη σε σχέση με τους πλανήτες τη στιγμή της γέννησης μας το λέμε ζώδιο. Ακόμα κάτω κοιτάτε; Today at the observatory. If you look carefully at Andromeda you may see an other galaxy millions of light years away from ours. Venus glows early in the morning and after sunset. The position of earth when we are born in relation to the planets defines our horoscope. Are you still looking down?

Επιστρέφοντας στο σχολείο ο ήλιος έκανε την εμφάνιση του και δε μας χώραγε το κτήριο. Στην αυλή η κούνια που εδώ και καιρό παρατειρούσα μου φώναζε να τη δοκιμάσω. Και τη δοκίμασα. On the way back to school the sun made its glorious appearance. We stayed outside. The swing that for days now seems to be calling me for a 'ride' was more challenging than ever. And so I did. I tried it.
